Sustainable Housing and Enhanced Livelihoods for Transition to Early Recovery [SHELTER] Project for Cameroonian Refugees in Cross River State

Rhema Care implemented an intervention aimed at providing “Sustainable Housing and Enhanced Livelihoods for Transition to Early Recovery [SHELTER] Initiative for Cameroonian Refugees in Cross River State”. This project targeted the over 3,000 refugee households numbering close to 15000 persons including women and children in the various host communities in Calabar Urban, Akamkpa, Ikom, Etung, Boki, Obudu, Ogoja and Obanliku LGAs including the three refugee settlements in Ogoja LGA of Cross River State. The major focus of the project included provision of shelter infrastructure, and CBI for food and shelter interventions, management of reception centres and transit centres including facilitation of relocation and referrals, registration and wet feeding of new arrivals, delivery of services for persons with specific needs and optimizing logistics and supply services to serve operational needs.
