“Shelter, Infrastructure and CBI Assistance for Cameroonian Refugees” (SICACR) for Cameroonian Refugees and host communities in Cross River, Benue, Akwa Ibom and Taraba State

Rhema Care Integrated Development Centre with funding from United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) through the UNHCR Community Assistance and Protection Services (CAPS) to Cameroonian Refugees implemented “Shelter, Infrastructure and CBI Assistance for Cameroonian Refugees” (SICACR). The project seeks to improve the protection situation and restore the dignity of the most vulnerable among UNHCR’s People of Concern (PoC) in Cross River, Benue, Akwa Ibom and Taraba State through the provision of dignified living conditions, and respond to the critical basic needs of vulnerable refugees. The project focused on provision of cash assistance for food and shelter construction, providing transitional shelters for vulnerable refugees in settlements (Cross River and Benue) and the renovation/construction of various basic facilities (Educational, Health, other social infrastructures) within the refugee settlement and communities hosting refugees to reduce pressure on already dilapidated facilities while improving services.
