Promoting Solutions and Scaling-Up of Sustainable Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment of Displaced Bakassi Returnee Households in Cross River State (SEEDS Project)

Rhema Care Integrated Development Centre in partnership with the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Nigeria implemented Promoting Solutions and Scaling-up of Sustainable Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment of Displaced Bakassi Returnee Households in Cross River State (SEEDS Project), as a pathway towards achieving long-time durable solutions for the displaced Bakassi vulnerable households. The project within the period under review reduced the risk of statelessness by the people of concern in Cross River State of Nigeria through Conditional Cash programming as a social protection mechanism towards short term poverty reduction. With funding from UNHCR, Rhema Care implemented the project in collaboration with the Government of Cross River State through the Ministry of International Development Cooperation (MIDC), Ministry of Sustainable Development and Social Welfare (MSDSW), Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and the Heads of Local Government.
