The project aimed at ensuring access to life saving assistance and protection including health care, food and non-food relief and strengthening essential services for persons with special needs such as shelter for pregnant women and other vulnerable persons of concern (PoC) of over 2000 refugee households including women and children in the various registration sites in Calabar Urban, Akamkpa, Ikom, Etung, Boki, and Obanliku LGAs of Cross River State Nigeria. With funding from UNHCR, Rhema Care implemented the project in close collaboration with the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), as well as the Government of Cross River State through its Ministries Departments and Agencies including the Ministry of International Development Corporation (MIDC), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and the Heads of Local Government Administrations of Host LGAs. Implementation covered Obanliku, Ikom, Etung, Boki, Akamkpa LGAs as well as Calabar Urban.
