The findings from needs assessment showed critical gap in child protection at Amana, Utanga and Up-Ranch. Save the Children sought to respond to these needs by addressing the critical child protection gaps in the respective communities. Save the Children, in partnership with Rhema Care Integrated Development Centre worked with local established groups, local partners, and Local government structures as well as communities to establish and strengthen child protection systems. Protection needs was addressed across the 3 communities in Obanliku LGA of Cross River State. Response was through: direct implementation, building capacity of local government structures and communities to reduce risk to children, building awareness of child protection risk and ultimately improved quality, monitoring and delivery of protection services. Rhema care, in partnership with save the children worked to mobilize, raise awareness, build capacity, monitor activities and identified & referred vulnerable children to child protection services.
