World Aids Day 2020 was marked with a solidarity walk of about 3 kilometers that terminated at the Ogoja Local Government Council Secretariat. Health workers, The Nigerian Police Force, UNHCR partners and other Non-governmental Organizations implementing the RISE (Reaching Impact, Saturation, and Epidemic Control) project, funded by USAID collaborated to celebrate WAD 2020 with Fhi360 taking the lead. Over 3000 condoms were distributed to residents of Igoli-Ogoja and messages on HIV/AIDS as well as GBV dully communicated.
