Rhema Care Integrated Development Centre (RIDEC) is a Faith-based, not-for-profit, pro-poor, non-governmental development organization with zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse working in partnership with the poor and vulnerable to improve on their quality of life through promotion of social transformation, economic empowerment and environmental sustainability of deprived communities in Africa. Rhema Care is implementing Shelter and Infrastructure Assistance for Cameroonian Refugees in Cross River State, Benue and Taraba with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Rhema Care seeks to engage qualified; purpose driven and result oriented persons to fill the under-listed vacant positions.

Position: Program Assistant – Cash-Based Intervention (1 Person)
Location: Ogoja, Cross River
Duration: 3 Months (with possible extension)

Overview
The Cash-Based Intervention (CBI) Assistant will be supporting the cash -based intervention at the refugee’s settlement, planning, implementation and reporting of CBI activities on the Project and will directly report to CBI Officer while managing CBI Monitors.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for creating awareness amongst refugees on the modalities for CBI
• Provide referrals and follow-up of persons of concern to other partners for appropriate service delivery
• Distribution of relief materials including food and non-food items to persons of concern.
• She/He will also ensure that all vulnerable persons are served including the elderly and child headed households.
• Support cash distribution and monitoring.
• Support Implement on timely basis, agreed activities but also taking advantage of unplanned activities that may come up
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

General Requirements
• Candidates must have a minimum of OND or its equivalent in Banking & Finance, Statistics, Social Sciences, or other related discipline.

• Ability to handle cash and other payment options
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Open to, and tolerant of, other cultures and religion
• Problem solving skills and ability to work well with minimal supervision
• Compassion to help and empathy towards vulnerable persons
• Ability to work under pressure in humanitarian contexts
• Ability to utilize office application programs such as Microsoft Word Excel, etc.

Position: Transport and Logistics Assistant – Driver (1 Persons)
Location: Ogoja, Cross River
Duration: 11 Months (Renewable)

The Driver will be responsible for driving Rhema Care vehicles and providing other logistic support in locations Rhema Care is intervening. The selected person will be supervised by the Administrative Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle to designated locations.
• Support and implement on timely basis, agreed activities but also taking advantage of unplanned activities that may come up.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

General Requirements
• Candidates must have a minimum of O’level certification.
• Must have a valid Drivers’ License
• Ability to drive manual vehicle with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) above 3,300Kg
• Familiar with routes within Cross River, Benue and Taraba

Additional Skills Required
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Open to, and tolerant of, other cultures and religion
• Ability to work well with minimal supervision
• Physical fitness to lift weights and heavy materials
• Ability to utilize office application programs such as Microsoft Word Excel, etc.
